La historia de la liturgia tiene un capítulo específico en la Constitución Litúrgica del Concilio Vaticano II, Sacrosanctum Concilium. El marco histórico de la convocatoria de Juan XXIII del Concilio Ecuménico en 1959 y la visión teológica de la Constitución De sacra Liturgia inician en este libro el comentario a los diversos capítulos de la constitución conciliar. La reflexión doctrinal de la Constitución tiene la finalidad que revelar el contenido de la acción sagrada, hacernos descubrir la realidad mistérica de la liturgia. La reunión del pueblo santo en la diversidad de sus miembros «en torno al libro y al cáliz», en expresión tan querida por Juan XXIII, realiza la Iglesia en acto, el Pueblo de Dios como acontecimiento. La acción litúrgica es Palabra de Dios, Palabra a Dios y también Palabra sobre Dios.
The history of the liturgy has a specific chapter in Sacrosanctum Concilium, the Liturgical Constitution of the Second Vatican Council. In this book, the historical framework of John XXIII’s convocation of the Ecumenical Council in 1959 and the theological vision of the Constitution De sacra Liturgia initiate the commentary to the various chapters of the conciliar constitution.
